About This Place
Hello and welcome to my Factory Five Cobra, FFCobra for short, blog. Here you will find periodic updates in regards to my build on, pretty much, my most sought after dream car since I was a child. To get a brief history of this dream you can read about it HERE on my project page. Another place to keep up to date on is the Photo Gallery. There you will find pictures and videos documenting each step of the build process. I’m sure there will be trying times along with some hilarious times ahead. Now let me tell a little story on the purchase of the car.
Like most attached men out there I had to get the “OK” from the wife, Renee. To my surprise she said yes very quickly with one gothca. I had to sell my Mystic Teal 2000 Trans Am. Since I’ve always wanted to do a project like this I didn’t hesitate in putting it up forsale. I did have a gotcha along with some alterior motives with this. The gotcha was that she had to help build it. She ethusiastically said yes. Plus I knew she would go for it cause for years she’s been hounding me to get some type of “convertible” hotrod. However nothing really tickled my fancy so I was always reluctant to get one. However I knew with this I could take care of both our wants. She gets her convertible and I get my dream car. Not bad huh?
I do have to say that along with the main project page another main driving force behind this project is my dad. Tom, or affectionatlely known to me as Pops or Daddyo. Like the main Project page said. I have to give credit to him for initially giving me my craving for one of these cars. He’s the one who got me “snake bitten” so to say. So here’s to you Dad. This is the biggest project I’ve taken on to date. I hope that I can finish it and get it done to your satisfaction. I wish you could be here for all the milestones I will cover during and after this build.
