Didn’t get a chance to do to much this weekend. Still playing the parts waiting game with Factory Five.
Ended up finishing up the front suspension and getting the front F-panels installed. Take a look at the pictures HERE.
Along with the F-Panels I put the dash up temporarily and mounted the gauges to see how it was gonna turn out. Take a look at the pictures HERE.
Installed the springs, hats, and zipties on the rear shocks. Take a look at the pictures HERE.
And finally temporarily installed the front brake calipers. Take a look at the pictures HERE.
Decided to go ahead and finish up the front IFS install and torque everything down to spec. Got my torque wrench working again and had the guys in the machineshop at work re-cal it for me.
I did notice that when I started on the drivers side that Renee had put the bracket that joins the spindle to the upper control arm on backwards. At first I was looking at it scratching my head going “WTF?” Had to compare it to my side along with the directions a few times just to be sure. I got a laugh out of it.. 
Greased up all the fittings and made sure things moved smoothly and called it a night. It’s kinda neat hearing the hoots and hollers as people drive by.
We got a young kid across the street named King James, I swear I’m not pulling your leg. He’s always fun to be around. Not your typical kid that stays inside playing XBOX or something. He’s always outside doing something and lately he’s over at my place talking about how the cool the car is.
Renee and I got started on the front suspension install. We spent alot of time trying to figure out what went where cause my dumb arse decided to stick all the parts together. Mental note don’t do that. The stuff is seperated for a reason, SO YOU DON’T MIX IT UP, duh. We finally got the thing bolted up. We’ll spend the next weekend taking it back down and putting it back together while torquing all the bolts down.
I do have to admit watching Renee fight with some things was pretty funny at times. Other times I always find myself telling her “it’s not that complicated, so don’t make it”. Course I’ve been telling her this the 8+ years we’ve been together. You’d think I’d get the point by now..

I ran across a great deal from one of the vendors Gordon Levy who runs Levy Racing out here in Maricopa, AZ. The car I rented from American Iron rentals had this style of wheels on it and I really liked them. So I saw this deal and jumped on it.

This was the day I finally got the call from Stewart Transport. This was the shipping company I went with to deliver my Factory Five Cobra to my doorstep. I will remember this day for as long as I live. I was like a little kid a christmas time. Bet the wife was glad it arrived also cause I was driving her nuts talking about it all the time. I ran out of things to do around the house and in the garage. I’ll remeber turning the corner into my housing development and seeing the truck there, man was I excited.
